In recent years, office automation has become a trend in universities. It is a mainpart of the university information system and an important means of universitymanagement modernization. To vigorously promote the university administrationoffice automation is an important task for the university administrative departments totransform their management functions, change the mode and style, and to furtherimprove the quality and efficiency. Therefore, it is also a key task for the universitiesto establish highly efficient, well coordinated and standardized management system.This dissertation, through the analysis of the present state of the development ofoffice automation, and, from a theoretical perspective of public management, mainlyanalyzes office automation’s influence on constricting flattening, flexible andvirtualized university organizations. From the use of modern public administrationand organizational structure optimizing, and collaborative business process theory,this dissertation also proposes some new principles about automation constructionand the establishment of CIO system in new undergraduate university offices. Onlythrough the improvement of information infrastructure and institution-buildingmechanisms and the strengthening of performance management and other measures,it can strengthen and promote the new construction of office automation inundergraduate universities.This research is expected to provide theoretical and practical experience for thescientific and reasonable construction of office automation in new undergraduateuniversities, and also to offer some references for the better building officeautomation in undergraduate universities.
