Office automation technology is one of the fastest development of computertechnology. It is also the most widely applied in the social from all walks of life forthe computer application level. However, the application of office automationtechnology is started late in china, especially its establishing in the secondaryvocational school. In the influence of the curriculum, office automation coursecontents takes the route relying mainly on knowledge system, and because of nationalcomputer operation certification system, students learned limited. As a result,students learned inactively, the development of professional teaching level could notkeep up with the office automation technology. So the occupation technical talentscould not adapt the society necessary. We need to study office automation curriculumand design it for employment. Based on the office automation course of Yunnan Yuxisecondary vocational school, we empirical researched on design of office automationcurriculum facing the employment.This paper consists of four chapters:Chapter one pointed out the necessity and feasibility for researching design ofoffice automation curriculum. The content of office automation courses and itsestablishing history were tidied up. The teaching view of employment and thetheoretical basis of curriculum design were summed up. Then the implementation plan for the secondary vocational education curriculum design was conformed.Chapter two described and analyzed the status of office automation courseestablishment on Yuxi secondary vocational school and pointed out the existingproblems. For the oneness of course evaluation standard, curriculum content andorganizational limitations, monotonicity of curriculum evaluation, and the lack ofoffice automation equipment, students could not quickly adapt to social requirementsof office automation technology after graduation, especially computer professionalstudents. Office automation course reform is imminent.Chapter three was the application of Taylor principle of curriculum development.First of all, social, and professional discipline were investigated to students, theresults of the survey was summarized, the course designing objectives fromintellectual skills, professional ability and professional quality. According to thecourse objectives, course content was designed. By using the organization of theproject, decomposed subtasks with working order, created working scenario to buildcurriculum organization. On the basis of objective for student behavior changingmade diversity evaluation of the curriculum design in many aspects.Chapter four was based on project design course, under the guidance ofemployment oriented teaching view, used action-oriented teaching methods,organized students studying group discussion, reflected student’s main body status,complete, fully learning arouse the enthusiasm, and provided a powerful platform toteachers’ professional development and improving vocational skill. According toemployment oriented curriculum contents for curriculum implementation andapplication of office automation, and the implementation of the problems andexperience as a description, summary and reflection. At last a prospect of the subjectwas showed.
