Preliminary Study On The Development Of SW University Hospital

The university hospitals of Chinese university, which is to serve the faculty and the students, provide health care services for them. They play an essential role in guaranteeing instruction quality, stabling teaching order and promoting university development. Yet the development of universities, the changes of national medical and health policies which require a better medical service bring changes to both internal and external environments for their development. These have caused a lot of difficulties at the same time.SW university hospital is the university hospital of SW University in Sichuan. It is urgent to strengthen the management and improve working quality.Organization management methods such as strategic management method will be used to analyze the development of SW university hospital. The main contents are summarized as follows:The first chapter is an overview of strategic management and hospital management. This chapter provides an overview of strategic and it’s management, hospital management and hospital strategic in turn.The second chapter presents the development of SW school hospital. It includes the historical development and problems it is confronted with now.Chapter Three includes SWOT analysis and strategic choice of SW university hospital. Firstly, we use the SWOT analysis method to analyze the internal and external environment, from which we can figure out the strengths,weaknesses, external opportunities and threats of the development of the university hospital. Then in accordance with the actual situation,we give the orientation and development goals for it. Finally, we propose the developing strategyChapter Four is the suggestions of the SW university hospital development. Based on the development strategy in previous chapter,we put forward a number of development proposals from the perspective of the strategic implementation and control, combining with the reality. As practical problems have to be addressed in the current development,we do SWOT analysis on the internal strengths and weaknesses of the university hospital as well as external opportunities and threats. Further discussing lies in strategic analysis, strategic choice, strategy implementation and process controlling. According to the analysis,we figure out the reasons of its shortcomings,then we make improvement suggestion for university hospital,so it will do a better job when it comes to providing health care services for students and faculty, simultaneously, it will promote the comprehensive and sustainable development.The author hopes to combine modern management knowledge with his working experience in SW university hospital, applying what he has learned.At the same time, the author also hopes this paper can be a valuable reference to the SW university hospital and other university hospitals.Of course, it’s inevitable that there might be a few incorrect parts because of the limitation of the author’s knowledge.and he will be very pleased to hear the comments.
