Research On The Vocation Values Of Potsgraduate Students In Engineering University’s

With the rapid development of social economy and more social demands for high technical talents, many universities began expanding enrollment. Postgraduate students become more and more. Because of the ban of assigning job policy in our country, their employment pressure is increasing. Their employment concept is changing from being assigned jobs by government to finding jobs by themselves. However, the disparity between their concept and reality makes many problems during finding jobs, especially psychological problems. Recent years, our country makes the psychological health education as a part of Ideological and Political Education and pays much attention to it. Vocation values are part of psychological health education. It works as a guiding ideology to university students and has key function when they are finding jobs. As a result, it is very important to promote psychological health education, to guide the vocation values of postgraduate students and to make them adapt to market requirements.If we want to guide postgraduate students’vocation values correctly, we must have an overall understanding about their vocation values and catch the regularities. This essay makes postgraduate students in Southwest JiaoTong University as investigation objects. We do a questionnaire investigation to them and analyze the features of their vocation values. The result shows that their vocation values are healthy and positive in the mass. However, being influenced by many different factors, their vocation values are contradictory and make many problems. This essay analyzes these factors and put forwards some education ways, which provides a theory evidence for vocation value education under the background of Ideological and Political Education in colleges and universities.
