The education of our country has been controversial for a long time.People especially focus a lot on Chinese, which is called sinology in China. InNovember1997, three articles in "Beijing Literature" caused a large criticism forChinese teaching. Its influence has been so great and its impact has been so powerfulthat no one has seen it before. After that, people never stop condemning the educationof Chinese. We keep making a reform in Chinese curriculum under this great pressure.However, the Chinese education isn’t satisfactory and it is still attacked. Because of thecriticism, the Chinese teachers are under great stress and they are also upset about themisunderstanding from society. They are seeking an acceptable way for the students tolearn Chinese constantly but they fail to win the praise of the society. Not only theschools and the teachers should take responsibility for the Chinese education, but alsothe whole society and the families. The Chinese education of middle school needs theirsupport, especially the support from the families. The home-school cooperation is oneof the strategies to solve the problems in Chinese education.This thesis observes the study of the cooperative education in China and abroadand studies the cooperative education in all kinds of subjects. The author made thequestionnaires and drafted the outline of the interviews on her own. She did a survey on32teachers,396students and436parents in her school. According to the survey, thereare some problems in the cooperative education of Chinese education. For example, toboth of the schools and the families, the responsibility for the students’ education is notso clear. They are not really cooperating in a right way and they don’t plan well for thehome-school communication. What’s more, most of the families are lack of a good atmosphere of reading.Basing on the analysis above, the thesis suggests the home-school cooperation to beone of the strategies to improve the Chinese education.The teachers and parents shouldhave a concept of quality education and build the same thought on home-schoolcooperation. It’s a good idea to establish the reading network on the Internet and set upa good environment for the students to read books in school and at home. We shouldalso make full use of the resources of the parents and encourage students to learnChinese in daily life. The Chinese teachers should change their roles in the home-schoolcooperation. They should learn to adopt different communication skills to face differentkinds of parents and try to make the communication diversified.
