Currently, with the development of economics, there is a growing demand oftechnicians. Secondary technical schools, which aim at educating primary technicians have beenenlarging the number of students they recruit. Meanwhile, the development of tourism also fostersthe demand of technicians. In this circumstance, secondary technical schools have to commit toeducating students not only in knowledge, but also professional ethics. However, professionalethics has been ignored by educators and schools, leading to a mismatch with the demand of socialand industry’s development. Thus, to strengthen the education of professional ethics becomes veryimportant.This article employs questionnaire and interview, aiming at several secondary technical schoolsand tourism companies, to conduct its research. It then analyses the current situation of theeducation in professional ethics and points out successes and problems existing in school’s ethicscourses. Through three changes in ethics courses, some achievements have been obtained. Yet,problems exist still. For example, some schools invest little in morality education and the systemfor professional ethics has not been well-built. Moreover, Schools lean too much on theory, notpractice.To solve these problems, the article summarizes the experience in ethics education provided bysecondary technical schools and find outs that they have developed a way combined with classeducation, campus practice and social practice, producing some good results. Yet, this method hasits defects, such as a lack of systematic plan and guarantee of practice. In this circumstance, thisarticle poses a method to educate professional ethics for secondary technical schools, which is toupgrade the idea of professional ethics and providing theoretical pillar for practice. Moreover, anobjective, scientific measurement system has been introduced as well.
