In the historical development period of basic geography educationcurriculum reform,the impact of information technology on the teaching ofgeography is growing and the digital globe system as a new type of teachingmedia into geography teaching.This article explores the problems of based onthe digital globe system junior high school geography classroom teachingdesign, applying literature, teaching material analysis, observation method,action research method and other research methods.This paper analyzes the suitability of junior high school geographyteaching contents of digital globe system and studies the suitability. Thisarticle summarizes types, function and characteristics of the suitable forjunior high school geography teaching contents of digital globe system.This paper, based on geography standards, geography textbooks andstudents, double-action mode of teaching two cases ten ideas asguidance,design junior high school geography classroom teaching. This paperdescribes based on digital globe system junior high school geographyteaching design techniques in detail, including compositions,design steps andfeatures of learning case, teaching case, powerpoint courseware and sphericalanimation. This paper developes ten typical cases, earth’s revolution,continents and oceans, the world’s climate, population and ethnicity, locationand extent of Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the United States,territory and natural disasters and analysis their main characteristics andconsiderations.Through the above study found that not all courses are suitable for teaching by the digital globe system and the largest portion of the map,followed by the world geography part and the smallest part of Chinesegeography.With the deepening of research on the digital globe system, digitalglobe system suitability in junior high school geography teaching willgrowing.The steps of based on the digital globe system junior high schoolgeography classroom teaching design is to understand the digital globe system,prepare tools, choose the topic, design the learning case, teaching case andpowerpoint courseware and spherical animation and to improve the finalproduct. We need to pay attention to the case design is that we should selectthe course content which is suitable for digital globe system.The method ofusing digital planet system to show the regional geographic content isdiversity.In geography teaching digital globe system is used in concert withother teaching media to develop strengths and avoid weaknesses.We shouldpay attention to allowing students to observe and operate the digital globesystem.
