Along with the advancement of teachers’ specialization construction, practice teachingof teacher education major in normal universities has become a hot issue of teacher educationreform and development. Pre-entry training pays more and more attention to students’practical knowledge. It has gained some results in teaching practice reform and advancement.However, there are still problems in the implementation of the practice teaching process..Taking a normal college in Liaoning province as a case to analyze, this paper mainlyuses the method of empirical study. On one side, the author carries on the questionnairesurvey on seniors from different majors who just finish internship. On the other side, theauthor takes non-structure interviews with teachers who are in charge of practice teaching.Through questionnaires and interviews to explore the practice teaching’s implementation andexisting problems, it could guarantee the results were real and comprehensive. Four hundredquestionnaires with seven majors were distributed. The survey results reflect a specificsituation of practice teaching in normal colleges in four dimensions: the practice teachingcurriculum, teaching form, resource guarantee and evaluation. This survey and interviewsprovides an authentic material for this research.This paper consists of four parts:The first part is the introduction. In this part, it includes the reason of choosing this topic,research background, research methods, and current studies on practice teaching at home andabroad. Also, this part accounts for the first step to research the case.The second part is mainly about practice teaching. This part focuses on the investigationand analysis of the case study. Through the survey on X normal college, the author finds outteachers’ pre-employment educational practice teaching situation in provincial colleges.Specific methods are used, such as empirical research on the case to obtain the data, and theexploration of practice teaching problems in the implementation process.The third part mainly reveals the problem. This part focuses on the causes ofshortcomings and defects of the practice teaching. Through analysis of the survey data, itsums up the crux of practice teaching in local normal colleges, which discusses from fouraspects: the curriculum, teaching form, resources guarantee and evaluation methods.The last part finds a solution. The emphasis of this part lies in the seeking of practiceteaching reform path. According to the research, the author puts forward countermeasures tocarry out the practice teaching reform of the teachers’ pre-employment education. Four feasible strategies are included, they are enriching curricula, improving teaching forms,increasing resource investment and perfecting the evaluation system.
