Physical self-esteem reflects “individual on different aspects of the body’sself-satisfaction or dissatisfaction,” it has a very important significance for the study thatpeople participate in physical exercise and psychological benefits of psychologicalantecedents. The study cited Fox prepared in2001by Xuxia revised “Physical Self-perception Profile (PSPP)” and write your own “graduate physical exercise habits survey”,in October2013, a random sample of Liaoning Normal University, grades one to threegraduate350people were surveyed (170boys,180girls), explores the relationship betweendifferent physical exercise habits and physical self-esteem among students to realize that thehealth of the physical self, purposefully guide students to better participate in physicalexercise, to improve their health and to improve the quality of life study has some referencevalue. The results were as follows:1. In physical exercise awareness,94.9%of the students the importance of physicalexercise a relatively correct and rational understanding,63.9%of the students physicalexercise holds a positive attitude, but most students will exercise relatively weak.2. In physical exercise motivation, motivation for students to participate in physicalexercise has been towards diversification, overall top three motivations were: to enhancephysical fitness, stress relief and fitness lose weight.3. In physical exercise behavior, the status quo is not optimistic graduate physicalexercise, regular exercise is only17.9%of the total number of students, from grades one tothree showed a decreasing trend, boys physical exercise habits significantly better than girls.4. Graduate student physical self-esteem mean total score of69.45, the mean scores foreach dimension were: physical self-worth13.43, sport competence13.20, physical condition14.64, body attractive14.17, physical fitness13.99. In addition to physical attractiondimension, the other dimensions of physical self-esteem there were significant genderdifferences (P<0.01), boys scored significantly higher than girls; between students fromdifferent grades of physical self-esteem was no significant difference (P>0.05).5. On different physical exercise habits, regular exercise,whether boys or girls physicaldimensions of self-esteem the average scores were higher than the occasional exercisestudents. In addition to sport competence dimension, the boys the other physical self-esteemdimensions are varying degrees of difference; girls in addition to the existence of very significant differences in the physical condition of dimensions outside (P<0.01), the otherdimensions were not significantly different (P>0.05). Visible, good exercise habits canpromote improved self-esteem graduate physical.6. Boys and girls whose physical self-esteem were there is a very significant difference atdifferent exercise time terms (P<0.01); in physical exercise frequency, physical self-esteemthere is a very significant difference among girls (P<0.01); in physical exercise intensity, boysand girls physical self-esteem do not exist significant differences (P>0.05). In multiple linearregression analysis showed that physical exercise time and physical self-worth was a negativecorrelation; physical exercise frequency and body attractive negative correlation; physicalexercise intensity and physical self-worth was a negative correlation; either physical exercisetime, frequency or intensity, both positively correlated to the physical condition.
