The Study Of Characteristic And Cause Of The Inter-Ethnic Marriage In Tacheng City

In such a multi-ethnic country，how to deal the relationship between eachnation is central for nation and its people，because it will affect the national unity,social stability and the development of people.Inter-ethnic marriage is an importantvariable reflecting the development and change of nationality relationship.Therefore,as an important area reflects the state of ethnic relations in deeper,the Inter-ethnicmarriage became a investigation and research topic which many scholar dedicatedto.The Inter-ethnic marriage of Tacheng city is a representative in Xinjiang province,its rate of Inter-ethnic marriage made Tacheng city became a top ranked city inrecent years. In a word,the analyzing and summary of the current situation andcause of Tacheng city’s inter-ethnic marriage had high academic value and practicalsignificanc to the Northwest Research on ethnic relations,especially the ethnicrelations in Xinjiang province.In this paper,the inter-ethnic marriage of Tacheng city is the main studyingobject.the Documentary Historical. Method, Case Study, In-Depth Interview andQuestionnaire Survey is the main survey methods. After an investigation,the authorlooked at the throughout history of Tacheng city’s inter-ethnic marriage in20’s anddescribed the current state of Tacheng city’s inter-ethnic marriage，then the authorsummed up the characteristics of Tacheng city’s inter-ethnic marriage,that isdiversity of ethnic groups and variable type of inter-ethnic marriage,minority womenwho had an inter-ethnic marriage get more willing to marry Han men, age and therate of inter-ethnic marriage had a negative correlation,both sides of the inter-ethnicmarriage had a similar career，the difference of education background between bothsides is little. In the next part the author induce the factors that units andindividual,the Individual factor, as follows, is gender, age, educational background,occupational factors language and parents or close relations around them whetherhad a inter-ethnic marriage.Social factors can be described as bellow such as public policy, resident pattern,the social exchange and social distance among allnations,national and religious beliefs and the social customs and habits.At last inresponse to series of questions found in field research, the author believe thedisadvantages which would affect the inter-ethnic marriage in Tacheng city and putforward relevant suggestions to solve the problems.
