Teacher professional development is one of the centered-issue of education reform in the present-day world, the new curriculum reform propose new requirements in our country and serious problems confront teachers’ development. So, in the current situation, finding an effective way to promote the teacher’s professional development in practice has very realistic significance. The teaching and research group is the very important platform of teacher’s professional development and as the most grass-root organizations for promoting the teacher’s development, it should shoulder the mission. From knowledge management introduced into education field, both in theory and practice shows its strong vitality. Based on this, this research attempts to use the knowledge management as theory perspective, and by means of analyzing the current status of the teaching research group promoting the teacher’s professional development based on knowledge management, existing problems and the influence factors in order to offer feasible suggestions for the teaching and research group to play an encouraging role in professional development of teachers.This research adopts both qualitative and quantitative research methods, by way of questionnaire survey to the162teachers that from six senior high schools of Zhejiang province and depth interview with ten teachers and find that, the overall level of the teaching and research group needs to be improved. In terms of demographic variables, the teaching and research group promoting the teacher’s professional development based on knowledge management exists differences, it specific shows in these aspects: on the gender, female teachers on the overall score are higher than male teachers, which are mainly influenced by social culture in our country. From various dimensions, male and female teachers on the emotional factors and behavior exist differences, society is generally believed that the teacher is the most suitable for women’s career, this makes the female teachers in emotional is better than male teachers’ professional identity, male teachers in the pursuit of relative within the scope of rights and status after they entering the professional role let them better than female teachers in behavior. On the teaching experience and the title is mainly for new teachers in teachers’ professional development based on knowledge management is better than the old teacher, the main performance for the new teacher’s professional enterprising and old teachers’ job burnout. On school types, social teaching resources of uneven made key high school teachers and ordinary high school teachers show significant differences in cognitive factors, key high school teachers are higher than the ordinary high school teachers. The question in the teaching and research group promoting the teacher’s professional development based on knowledge management mainly shows in four aspects: the traditional activities is the mainstream, lack of knowledge cooperation and sharing in the teaching and research group, the dislocation of the head of the teaching and research group and teacher’s knowledge management ability is insufficient. The teaching and research group promoting the teacher’s professional development based on knowledge management is affected by four factors: heavy teaching and light scientific research in the teaching and research group, the teaching and research group lack of the knowledge cooperation and sharing environment, the function is weakening and knowledge management tool still confused teachers.Through the theoretical explore and empirical research, this paper puts forward the new strategy about how to promote the teacher’s professional development in four aspects: enrich content of the teaching and research group activity, create the cooperation and sharing culture of research and establish the incentive mechanism of knowledge sharing, develop the Chief Knowledge Office role of the group leader, enhance the shared intention and spread the teacher’s knowledge management tools.
