With the development of information society, the principals’technology leadership was born. It plays an important role in information society, especially in educational informatization. While, the development of educational informatization also raises new requirements for the principals’technology leadership. Mature principals’ technology leadership is an important guarantee of advancing educational informatization of school. Meanwhile, it satisfies the requirement of promoting the modernization of education by informatization.The study on the principals’ technology leadership abroad has a longer history than domestic one. Nowadays, more and more domestic scholars follow the study on principals’technology leadership. The study on the development of principals’ technology leadership will play a positive role in helping people master its evolving rule as well as promoting its development. It has its realistic meaning.Following the development paces of education informatization, this thesis divides its development into four processes:computer teaching and using; CAI; the integration of information technology and curriculum; advanced informatization education.For the former three, by literature research, this thesis analyzes the characters of principals’technology leadership after the leadership situation and the persons who are led. The analysis of leadership situation is discussed from factors of technology development, factors of national policy and factors of curriculum development. The analysis of the persons who are led is discussed from teachers and students. The analysis of the principals’technology leadership is discussed from capacity and power. After that, its development is thought from knowledge, training, action, vision, evaluation and group dynamics. At last, combining the features of current social informatization, this thesis offers an expectation of the principals’technology leadership in the forth process. For the following one decade, the principals’ technology leadership will focus on advanced informatization education, establishment of vision of informatizational development and group leadership of a school.The study will bring several benefits, among which, mastering its developing rule is very important. After we get a clear knowledge of the principals’technology leadership of each process, the education managing department, the head teachers and other educational workers may use its developing rule to guide the educational practice. Meanwhile, it may be, somewhat, an expansion to the current study on the principals’technology leadership.
