Eighth education reform in our country has put forward higher requirements for geography teaching of high school, Compared to the traditional focus on specific knowledge of geography teaching learning, The new curriculum standards more emphasis on training students the ability to create personalized and practical ability, the implementation of new goals and objectives based on the change of the traditional teaching mode. The mode of learning plan-guided teaching is carried of guided learning case. It is a new type of teaching, which is produced under the background of new curriculum reform.The mode combines the teachers’"guide" with the students’"learning" subtly. It prompts teachers to change the teaching idea, optimize the teaching methods, create a new class, cultivate students’ abilities of autonomous learning and cooperative inquiry, which greatly draws out students’ initiative, activeness and creativity.Under the direction of the theory of pedagogy, psychology and geography teaching, this article combines with the practical experiences of the geography learning case teaching mode in high school, using the methods of experimentation, literature research, comparison analysis, data statistics, etc., This study is conducted on the situations of a certain county high school which carries out the mode of geography guided learning case. The objectives of this study is to explore the impacts of this mode on students’ learning attitude, learning habits, learning effect; to rethink the changes of the teachers’teaching philosophy and teaching skills that occurs when they use the mode of guided learning case to carry out geography teaching of high school; to investigate the confusion when the teachers and students to develop guided learning case teaching mode, give a summary of experiences and shortages. It will puts forward the implementation strategies for combining a variety of teaching methods and guided learning case teaching mode, carrying out geography curriculum of high school flexibly, ultimately achieve to develop guided learning case teaching mode flexibly.The study aims to change the traditional mode of high school geography teaching, change the ways of teachers’teaching and students’ learning, improve teachers’ teaching concept and teaching skills, to cultivate the students’ comprehensive quality, which makes them benefit from for life. This research makes great efforts to provide practical experience and theoretical guidance for exploring a new mode of teaching, it promotes effective development of high school geography teaching under the background of new curriculum scientifically.
