For the latest30years after the Reform and Opening up, preschool education inour country has experienced a rapid growth, and has gained better popularity sincethen. However it is still the weak point of our education system, with inadequateresources, and plenty of problems such as high tuition and difficult admission.Meanwhile, the development of preschool education between rural area and urbanarea is out of balance, with the quality of preschool teachers in rural area long being achoking problem, and the preschool education for children of urban migrant workers atroublesome issue. Combining the method of qualitative research and quantitativeresearch, this dissertation inclines to cultivating teachers for preschool education inrural area and for children of urban migrant workers, inquiring into the curriculumprovision of preschool education major in secondary vocational school in adeveloping view, to present some reformative suggestions on the curriculum provisionof preschool education major in secondary vocational school, and to improve thequality of preschool education in our country and promote the equality of education.Based on the current situation of preschool education in the rural area, especiallythe cultivation of preschool teachers and the severe shortage of preschool teachers,this dissertation first proves the necessity, rationality, and legality of the existence ofpreschool education major in secondary vocational school, then it reviews relatedstudies on curriculum provision of preschool education major from the perspective ofboth domestic and abroad. Then there is a full analysis of the current situation of theobjective, structure, content, sequence and implementation of the curriculum ofpreschool education major in secondary vocational school. Thus many problems havebeen found through this analysis: inaccurate positioning of training objective,irrational curriculum structure, extensive but unspecific curriculum, ignorant of directexperience of students, random and ineffective implementation of curriculum,curriculum nonconforming to the ability-developing order, etc, which lead to ananalysis of the reasons for these problems. According to the theory of preschooleducation and infant development, this dissertation then analyses the basis affectingthe curriculum provision of preschool education. Finally this dissertation offers somesuggestions on the objective, structure, content, and implementation of the curriculumof preschool education major in secondary vocational school in terms of the problemsof the curriculum provision of preschool education major and the reasons for such problems.“The National Ten” has taken it as an important initiative to increase resourcesfor prevalent preschool education and improve the capability and level of publicservices that enough public kindergartens must be established to provide a widespreadand base-strengthening preschool education. Preschool education major in secondaryvocational school must undertake this responsibility so as to meet the needs of socialdevelopment. This dissertation is hoped to provide some help and reference to thedevelopment of preschool education major in secondary vocational school in ourcountry.
