Cultivation Research On The Specialized Quality And Ability Of College Counselors

In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s higher education, many problems are continuously showed in the college counselors. Specialized college counselors, not only conducive to ideological and political work, to enhance the effectiveness of moral education in colleges and universities, but also deeply impact the students’ all-round development. Therefore, the construction of a high-level team of counselors has become a top priority.In this context, firstly, by summarizing the results of previous studies, a comprehensive theoretical and practical exploration was made about the counselors’ cultivation of specialized quality and ability, and described the constitution of its policies and systems. According to a series of government documents, professional quality system was constructed from ideological, moral, science and culture, mental and physical aspects for the counselors. Quality system, from education, research, organization and management, communication, innovation, build the system of capacity in five areas.On the other hand, the students’ counselors from14colleges and universities of Hebei province were sampled. Then analysis of the problems and causes in their professional quality and capacity were made. Finally put forward countermeasures and safeguards for professional college counselors’ quality and capacity cultivation, and aims to achieve a combination of theory and practice, finding more effective ways to foster the counselors and accommodating the new era of college counselors’work.
