Primary Mental Health Education Under Positive Psychology Orientation

With the rapid development of economy and science and technologyand the increasingly intense competition in society, people face all kinds of pressure isgrowing. This pressure point to widely different social strata crowd, which wasparticularly outstandingly in the student. Primary and secondary students’ weariness,fighting, running away and suicide occurred frequently, students’ mental healthproblems worrying. At the elementary level, because pupils is younger, their mentalhealth problems are rare, it is easy to ignore the mental health education for pupils. Thisstudy was to explore primary mental health education under the positive psychologyorientation, hope to arouse attention on pupils, that from childhood that carry a positivequality of training. Carry on various activities from the perspective of preventing theoccurrence of psychological problems, meet to the needs of school quality education,while eliminate the possibility of students’ psychological problems from the root.This study combines existing “positive psychology” and “mental health educationmode” of relevant research results, ongoing theoretical analysis and practicalexploration, aimed at developing a new model of positive psychology orientation underhealth education to adapt to pupils. In practice, taking an active community-basedmental health education activities,supplemented by individual counseling methods,onthe cultivation of the student to carry on the positive qualities, and adopt “Mental HealthTest (MHT)” and “self-awareness questionnaire pupils” to test, the results showed that:the student’s mental health has improved significantly under the positive mental healtheducation.By studying primary mental health education under the positive psychologyorientation, we found that positive mental health education model for students toestablish good study and living faith, cultivate positive qualities of healthy, rebuspersonality has a good effect, but carry a positive mental health education actives also need various efforts and support of the whole society, summarize a more effectiveprimary positive mental health education model.
