In the context of the new curriculum reform, many educational researchersadvocate self-exploration,practice expeirence,the combination of cooperation andexchange of learning and acceptance of learning,advocating "do",Mthink","talk “organic unity of the learning process. Inquiry learning has gradually been educatedresearchers’ attention,study geography education in our country to become a hot topicBut the theory of inquiiy learning mateirals development based on geography,butrare.Papers used questionnaires to the current status of implementation of inquirylearning geography textbook part of the investigation found that the cause of the poorof the contents of the current implementation of inquiry learning mateirals. The newcombined school geography curriculum standards, constructivist learning theory,inquiry learning theory expounded inquiry learning high school geography curriculummateirals developed the theme of the subject matter of the theme selection policyissues,the creation of the real situation as possible,follow students’ cognitive activitycharacteristics, geographic charts guided inquiry learning with content organizationstrategy and operational organizations such as the geographic diversity of activities andteaching activities focus on the development strategy.Based on the theoretical concept and development strategy,taking high schoolgeography "urban spatial structure” for example, to build a writing style geographicalinquiry learning mateirals,by high school grade one class2and class3ShanghaiZhongYuan high middle school experimentally studied by using textbooks writtenquestionnaire on the situation and the corresponding teaching investigation. Surveyresults show that most students prefer New geographic inquiry learning materials, theybelieve inquiry learning materials can be explored independently, helping to drawconclusions, if long-term use of this form of learning materials that can improve theirability to explore and practical ability. Therefore, this study presents a high school geography inquiry learning materials development model is suitable for the inquiryteaching.
