For a long time,the primary school students’ assignments have always appeared the same phenomenon,the content is empty,the plot is false,etc.The main reason is that the primary school students’ ability to select materials for their assignments is not high.Through the analysis of the questionnaire data and the results of the interviews,the specific manifestations of the current primary school students’ low ability to select materials for assignments are summarized,and the reasons for the reasons are analyzed,and then the majority of front-line teachers are provided with suggestions on the selection and teaching of assignment materials.In this paper,a total of 270 primary school students participated in the questionnaire survey and the data analysis software SPSS24.0 and Excel were used to analyze the results of the questionnaire data,and then randomly interviewed 9 primary school language teachers and 12 primary school students to further understand their The main understandings and confusions about the selection of works and the teaching of subject selection.The results of the questionnaire survey of this research show that the ability of primary school students to select materials for their assignments is generally low and there are the following problems: first,the acquisition of materials is relatively monotonous;second,the flexible use of materials needs to be strengthened;third,the authenticity of materials needs to be improved;The awareness is not strong;5.The material innovation degree is shallow.Combined with the results of questionnaires and interviews,this paper analyzes the reasons for the existing problems of primary school students’ ability to select materials for assignments from three levels of students,teachers and schools.The reasons are as follows: 1.Teacher level.The degree of emphasis is not high,there are misunderstandings;the lack of research spirit,work burnout is increasing;the evaluation tends to be a model,and the motivational effect is low;lack of self-example,it is difficult to resonate.Second,the student level.Low interest and lack of motivation in the work;too much emphasis on grades,obvious utility;easy to be attracted by the Internet,low self-consciousness;tired of active thinking,increasing laziness;more emphasis on test books,low reading volume.3.School reasons.Collective lesson preparation is a mere formality;activity inspection and supervision are inadequate.Finally,in the problem and attribution,the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the ability of primary school students to select materials for assignments are put forward: first,to strengthen the students’ love for assignments and enrich the students’ material library.Starting from student life,lead students to observe local materials;use classrooms as the basis,rationally use various teaching resources;evaluate the diversity of roles and infiltrate the warm caring sense of teachers.Secondly,for the purpose of dispersing students’ thinking,we will develop innovative materials.Cultivate students’ reading habit;create situational multi-role play;use "five senses" to tap new angles.Finally,shorten the distance between the work and the students,and improve the authenticity of the material.Teachers write model essays in person to encourage students to take them seriously;carry out various interesting activities to allow students to gain real feelings;change the form of assignments to reduce the constraints on writing.
