Five-year higher vocational education, which is to cultivate advanced technologyapplied talents, is an important form of vocational technology education in our China. Thestudents have their own characteristics in their age and learning cycle, which determinesthe particularity of the school management. In a school, the most fundamental groupstudents live in is the class, where they are closely related with each other. Classes are themost basic units for the students taking activities and receiving education. It is also animportant platform where the students’ personalities are developed. Students with identicaleducation background communicate and share what they have with each other in this groupand they take it as a stage to display their skills and gifts. Therefore, it is one of the mostimportant steps to foster high-qualified students by putting more emphasis on thebuilding-up of the active and healthy class culture.In this paper, on the basis of the research, the author defines the related concepts byusing a variety of methods. The class culture is considered as the micro representation ofschool culture and the soul of the class. And it is based on the class unique way of lifeapproved by teachers and students who think the mental culture (such as value concept,way of thinking) as a guide, the behavior culture, system culture and material culture as thecontent. The paper carefully studies and analyzes the case on the class culture constructionorganized by the author. Meanwhile, the author rethinks and criticizes the process ofpractice under the guidance of the theory in five-year higher vocational class cultureconstruction. The achievements are summarized and refined, the principles about classculture construction in five-year vocational colleges are proposed. Combined with thephysical and psychological characteristics of the students as well as the contemporarysocial development, the paper puts forward the corresponding construction measures,which provides us with a reference model for the construction of class culture in highervocational colleges.
