The child isnot only the important human resource of the country, but also the backboneof the construction of the country. The social work has pay a highly attentionon children’s holiday of which is positive, meaningful and safe, owning tothe curriculum reform and the appealing of reducing students’ academicburden applied in China, as well as the student safety problem widelyhappened in holidays. Combined with the content, mission and goal of thesocial work, the author carried out the investigation actively, deepenunderstood the present situation of students’ holiday life. Thus the problemsand defects were being found. Last, the author put forward some suggestionsin order to improve and enhance the quality of students’holiday life.The author used the method of the survey with the questionnaire, andinterview of the children and parents, and took Xinyuan community as theinvestigation subject, which is lactated in Dongsheng, Erdos, InnerMongolia. Through the investigation, the author found that the children’sholiday life is boring and short of companions. Moreover, considering thecurrent situation, the author analyzed the reasons of the present situation.Based on this, the author analyzed the feasibility of the social work’sintervention, and drew up a group work plan combined with thecommunity’s conditions and child’s characteristics. With the help of socialwork, the author hopes that the quality of children’s life could be improved.The social work is a practical course. It is a job that the social worker canaffect other people. This intervention of social work is just focus on themicro aspect, and according to the result, the group work is effective. Ithelps the member make new friends, and enjoy a wonderful holiday. All in all, the holiday should let the child have a relaxed, happy timewith wonderful content. Actually, the present situation of the holiday life isboring. In order to improve the quality of the holiday life, the relevantdepartment, community and parents etc. should take participate in this workand take great efforts to make it better.
