Each learning stages’ target has specific requirements of teaching musicreading in the new music curriculum standards. Music reading is a veryimportant part of music teaching content. It is to read and sing the melody ofthe songs. To improve the ability and skill of music reading can simplyimprove one’s musical accomplishment. And the ability of music reading canobviously affect the effect of learner’s learning and playing. Howover, inrecent years, our music teaching neglected the learner’s basic skill training.Meanwhile, in the teaching process, many teachers would give up or reducethe content of music reading because of the boring content ad monotonousteaching method. So the students of grade four or five can still not read thescore and it is greatly affect the improvement of the learners. I read andgathered a lot of relevant information and literature, there’s less researchabout primary or middle schools’ music reading teaching. and the survey ofmusic reading researching and teaching n Baotou’s primary and middle schoolis hardly any. So this paper carries out the research on the developing ofmusic reading.This paper is divided into five chapters. Chapter one: General, thebackground, purpose, and significance of research. Chapter two: the musicreading ability analysis and survey of Baotou’s primary and middle schools.Chapter three: solutions of the problems that has been found. Chapter four:Draw lessons from both here and abroad famous music education system.Chapter five: the summary and prospect. Analyze the present situation andproblems of middle school students’ music reading learning. Explore toimprove the ability of reading music teaching countermeasures andsuggestions, and working hard to find out the theory and practice ofbreakthrough which can be forward-looking and innovative for Baotou’sprimary and middle school ‘s music reading teaching. And we hope that our investigation and analysis can provide some reference or useful advices forother music teachers and educational institutions.
