In2012,the London Olympic Games Chinese badminton team had won allfive gold medals, included men’s singles, women’s singles, men’sdoubles, mixed doubles, women’s doubles, the development of Chinesebadminton has reached a new peak. At the same time as the people’s livingstandard, fitness consumer awareness continues to improve, more and morepeople like to play badminton. College badminton course has been lovedby the students, with the continuous development of the economy, theschool’s badminton court and equipment has been improved, the badmintonteaching level also gradually improve, but there are some problems in theprocess of rapid development.This article through the scientific research methods of literature,expert interviews, questionnaire surveys, mathematical statistics, logicanalysis and so on, investigated the status of College Badminton Teachingin Shanghai University and other8representative schools, theinvestigation included the students’ cognition of badminton, badmintoncurriculum, evaluation forms, teachers, equipment, the students’satisfaction in the teaching present situation etc., and some factorsaffecting the Shanghai college badminton teaching development, andaccording to the analysis of existing problems, the article prove that:1. The students has a good cognition of badminton before anticipatebadminton course, motivation of participation attitude well, but becausethe limit of teachers, facilities and other restrictions, many studentscan not choose badminton class.2. Every college badminton courses are not the same in shanghai, somecolleges and universities have some problems such as time shorter, boringteaching content, single teaching method and means, court and equipmentis difficult to meet the demand of the teaching.3. The evaluation of teaching is too single to satisfy differentlevels of students, and the evaluation is traditional, can not outstandingstudents’ subject status.4. The age structure of college Badminton teacher is more reasonable,but there are still some problems, includes degrees and professionaltitles are too low, pay attention to the teaching and scientific researchand teacher training is not enough, and the teachers strength is weak,especially lack of professional and high level badminton teachers.5. College students in Shanghai have been satisfied with Teachers’teaching badminton, but the overall evaluation of site equipment,teaching contents is not high. 6. School leadership attaches great importance to the badminton is theimportant factor to influence college badminton teaching, because itdirectly affects the school badminton equipment investment and teachingstaff construction.
