Spatials Distribution Of Floating Population And Economic Development In Jilin Province

Since the reform and opening up，in the process of industrialization andurbanization were carried out, a large number of population assemble together notonly from rural to urban but also from underdeveloped areas to developed areas. Thissituation shows that population movements active increasingly. The large-scalepopulation migration has already become one of the most significant promotingfactors for social structure change，interest-pattern adjustment and transformation ofsocial organization system. A lot of studies have been shown that populationmigration and regional economic development interact with each other. Along withthe adjustment of our economic structure process, the direction of flow population haschanged from the one-way concentration to the multi-way concentration. Jilinprovince is one of the absorbing area for the floating population in the future. Theresearch of the flow population and the research of the local economic hassignificance in both theory and reality.In the first part and the second part，this report will summarize the relevanttheory of the floating population and regional economic, and explain the basic theoryof the population immigration and regional economic in detail, and then define theconcept of the floating population. In the third part，this report will analyze the currentstate of the floating population in Jilin province in the following aspects：the numberof the population, nature structure, social structure. In the fourth part， thedistribution characteristics of floating population in Jilin province is analyzedqualitatively and quantitatively. In the fifth part，correlation measurement model isestablished for the floating population and regional economic in Jilin Province. TheEViews6.0is using to analysis the floating population of9areas in Jilin Province andits local economic data. From the model, it can be seen that the floating populationand local economic has strongly relationship with each other. Some recommendationwill be provided for the management of the floating population. The sixth part sumup the characteristics of floating population in Jilin province.The characteristics ofdistribution of floating population and the relationship between floating populationand economic are also summed up in the sixth part. The results suggest that, in orderto promote the economic development in Jilin province coordinately, people shouldexpand the scale of floating population and improve the degree of city complementand promote regional economic development and guide redistribution of floatingpopulation in space.
