Research On The College Counselors’ Professional Development Of China

College counselors, as the main force of Ideological and political education of collegemoral education and students, undertaking a series of closely related to student development twork. With the popularization of higher education in our country’s arrival, students’work incolleges and universities has become more complex and sophisticated, the ranks ofprofessional college counselors to become the new problems and new challenges in Chinesehigher education. In this study, college counselors as the research object, using professionalmovement theory, through the investigation and interviews and other research methods,analyzing and researching the current situation of professional college counselors in Wuxiarea and the existing problems, put forward the path and countermeasures of collegecounselor professional development.Combined with the college counselors’ professional status questionnaire and theinterview of new counselors, school leaders, instructor and students, starting from the threedimensions of school counselors, counselors occupation management status recognition andcounselors professional quality, establishing college counselor professional statusquestionnaire survey, the counselor team selected as the research object in the3colleges inWuxi, in-depth understanding of the present situation of the construction of counselors in thearea, found that the current construction of counselor professionalization in Wuxi area arethree main problems: be lacking of occupation development mechanism perfectly; instructoroccupation recognition is not high; the professional quality is not fine.According to the investigation and analysis, research on the development of professionalcollege counselors from the perspective of professional college counselors two industrydevelopment mechanism and the professional supporting system, to explore the counselors’professional construction path. The industry development mechanism includes theconstruction strategy of the instructor’s admittance, vocational education and occupationgrowth mechanism; professional supporting system includes the policy guarantee mechanismof counselors and professional organization construction measures.
