According to the requirements of the new curriculum reform, pay attention to cultivate the students’learning enthusiasm, initiative, efforts to improve students’ scientific and cultural qualities, so that thestudents in the process of learning to master correct learning methods. Domestic and foreign experts andscholars have the critique, the traditional learning theory and put forward the theory of "autonomouslearning". With the continuous reform of basic courses in our country, students’ consciousness constantlystrengthen,"autonomous learning" will also become an important part of the study of education.The author combines the domestic and foreign experts, scholars, the theoretical research ofautonomous learning, analyzes the connotation, theoretical basis of autonomous learning, the purpose andsignificance of cultivating the ability of autonomous learning, the current research of autonomous learning,etc, were selected for the discovery of three junior high school music class actual investigation (theaffiliated high school of Xinxiang, Xinxiang10middle school,Xingxiang2middle school). The authoradopt the way of "questionnaire" investigation, make teachers and students of music class characteristics ofautonomous learning, the students’ situation of simple heuristic teaching, by comparing the score, theweight of each fraction of total score, according to the data summary and analysis of students’ autonomouslearning.Combined with the results of the investigation, put forward the basic strategy of autonomouslearning, including: the cultivation of learning motivation, student learning goals set, etc. Learningstrategies to get the most important is the strategy of how to implement in place, the author will from threeaspects to explain respectively. Autonomous learning is an important teaching direction of new curriculumreform, the new curriculum standards also puts forward higher demands on teachers. Therefore, teachersshould constantly improve their comprehensive quality, improve their own personality charm, improve theability of teaching practice and teaching behavior, create a good autonomous learning environment forstudents, make students not only like music, more like music. Students will not have psychological pressurein the music class, under the teacher’s guide, the inspiration to active learning, and get pleasure from themusic.Finally, the author in music teaching cases to elaborate of autonomous learning, in the music classroom of middle school students can use all kinds of learning strategies in autonomous learning music,to enhance the students’ independent consciousness and ability to cooperate, to actively participate inclassroom activities, in order to achieve the purpose of "learning to learn". Under the situation of newcurriculum reform teachers should change education idea, change the roles between teachers and students,train the student to the new and old knowledge to explore consciousness, the ability of independent analysis,so as to improve students’ ability of autonomous learning, improve the comprehensive quality of students.
