In the recent years the learning mode has become one of the key problems in the coursereform. Aiming at the problems of learning mode among the high school students in their musiccourse, this thesis is intended to explore the construction and application of a new learning mode,i.e. autonomous learning, collaborating learning and inquiry learning by analyzing large numbersof teaching cases of music.The thesis is composed of three chapters. Chapter one presents a general introduction tolearning modes. Main perspectives concerning the traditional learning mode and the new mode-autonomous learning, collaborating learning and inquiry learning are presented in this chapter.Chapter two introduces the theoretical foundation for the new learning mode in music teaching todiscuss the feasibility of this mode in music teaching. Learning content, learningmainstay-students and instructor are the three parts of appreciation teaching and the combinationof them lay the foundation for the new learning mode. The characteristic of music appreciation isthe presupposition of the new mode and the development of students' appreciation is thenecessary conditions for the new mode. Teachers in teaching music appreciation of the role are tocreate new learning protection. Chapter three is devoted to the construction of the new learningmode of high school students in their music course. From the respective value of the threelearning modes, the author explores the construction of them in music teaching and points outthat autonomous learning is cultivated by interest, collaborating learning is established byequality and cooperation and inquiry learning stems from practice and innovation.
