In2006, the Chinese Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Personnel and the Central Staffing and Organization Administration promulgated "Plan of Placing Teachers on Special Posts in Rural Schools Carrying Out Compulsory Education"(referred to as "Plan of Placing Special Posted Rural Teacher posts"),"Especially contracted teachers scheme" to add rural teachers’strength, improve the whole quality of rural teachers’ team is rare of important opportunities. Since implementing the special post plan in2009, everything in Henan Province goes well in general and college graduates enthusiastically apply for the teacher of the special post. By Spetember2013,in total about50thousand special post teachers for the special setting post in rural schools, provide the opportunity to display their talent and platform for promising young students.They play an important role in rural primary and secondary schools, and they made a positive contribution to the development of local education.But we should see that as novice teachers they still faces many difficulties on the way of teacher professional development. Part of special post teachers’ professional is not strong, their work direction mismatch and they lack of teaching management and related experience. Because live in rural poverty, the chance for the teachers’ professional education are few. Today, under the big background of balanced development of compulsory education, rural special post teachers’ professional development should get more attention.In order to understand and analyze the present situation and existing problems in professional development of special post teachers in Henan province more objectively, this article take special post teachers hiring in recent years in Henan province as the object. This paper uses a combination of questionnaire and interview to Henan province rural primary and secondary school teachers of survival and development status of professional study, in accordance with the relevant theory to analyze the professional development of teachers’ professional development present situation, the goal is to explores the existing problems in their professional development and tries to put forward some counter-measures and Suggestions. The content of this paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction.It analyzes the background and significance of the research, literature review, defines the related concept and combs out the related research theory and introduce the research content and research methods. The second part is the questionnaire and the interview results investigation and analysis. Through the sum up and summarization of the questionnaire and interview data, from the career motivation and professional identity, the condition of task teaching in school, the classroom teaching performance, daily teaching appraisal, the existence of dilemma in teaching, the vocational training and professional development of teachers status and post to the demand of teacher’s professional development.The third part is the analysis of the problems in special post teachers’ professional development from the policy design, local management departments and schools of teachers management,and analysis of the causes for the problems.The fourth part is based on the analysis results of the third part proposes some suggestions of special post teacher’s professional development.
