Objective:To understand the internet addiction of college students; To explore the relationship among stress and time management disposition, internet addiction in college students.Method:Chinese Internet Addiction Scale, Stress Scale for College student and Time Management Disposition Questionnaire were assessed in610college students of one key university in Hunan province. Statistical methods adopted included t-test, The Pearson correlation, Multiple linear regression, etc.Results:1.There were no significant difference on the factors of internet addiction scores of gender, there were significant difference on internet addiction,obsessive-compulsive symptoms, withdrawal reactions and time management issue scores of grade, there were significant difference on time management issue scores of the students who were only son and daughter in their family.2. As for the college students in different degree of internet addiction tendency, they have the significant difference on the total score of stress and other factors. Internet addiction and other factors scores were positively correlated with the scores of stress and other factors. The regression analysis shows the personal hassle can forecast internet addiction to some extent.3. As for the college students in different degree of internet addiction tendency, they have the significant difference on the total score of ATMD and its three sub-scales. Internet addiction and other factors scores were negatively correlated with the scores of ATMD and its three sub-scales. The regression analysis shows the sense of time control and the sense of time efficacy can forecast internet addiction to some extent.4. Significant mediating effects of time management disposition on relation of stress and Internet addiction, but time management disposition partially mediated the effect of stress on Internet addiction.Conclusions:1.Stress and time management disposition is closely related to internet addiction. Students with high tendency of internet addiction are likely to feel more pressure and lack the time management skill.2. College students’stress and time management disposition can predict their internet addiction directly.3. Time management disposition partially mediated the relationship between stress and internet addiction.
