In recent years, the state is vigorously developing vocational education to enhance theattractiveness of vocational education and upgrade the role of vocational education in economictransformation. While coordinating development of secondary vocational education and highervocational education is an important starting point. From the situation of internationaldevelopment, some countries and regions also focus on the construction of vocational educationsystem. Secondary and higher vocational education is basic meaning and key links to build amodern vocational education system with Chinese characteristics. Cohesion mode refers to thestandard paradigm of cohesion of secondary and higher vocational education. Mode elements arereferred to a narrow sense of understanding here, mainly refers to the cohesion of level, major andcurriculum.In the first section, the author describes the background, meaning, ideas and methods of thestudy, defines related concepts and combed through current research in vocational cohesion mode,to lay the foundation for the study. In the second section, in order to provide a firm theoreticalsupport, the author explains the theoretical bas is from four aspects: system structure theory,external relations law within education, lifelong education theory, theory of multiple intelligencesand cognitive. From the mid-1980s, the cohesion of secondary and higher vocational educationhas gone through a pilot exploration, large scale process and a sharp decline. Cohes ion mode isshowing a complicated scene especially in their separating leapfrog development. It fails toestablish close unobstructed substantive cohesion including mode level, students, professionalsand curriculum. In the third section, research on policy-oriented, practical exploration, cohesionquality and the management system is a starting point, dig out the reasons for the existence ofinternal problems connection mode, from combing and specific analysis in the four aspects:functional selection, cohesion of major and curriculum, the management system and mechanism,the concept, etc.Finally, the author summarize the current situation, the theory of regulation andresearch policy of experts and scholars, and then attempt to provide policy advice to achieveeffective cohesion in the following five areas: building vocational education management system,changing the functions of government, reforming credit management, increasing financial input,and changing concepts. And in the last chapter, the author proposes an ideal cohesionmode that butting enterprises on the basis of cohesion to achieve the goal of running schools in groups.
