Since the reform and opening up, China’s private colleges and universities have made considerable development, which brings a large number of highly qualified specialists for social modernization drive. However, with the expansion of the private colleges and universities, there are a series of problems restricting the development of them, such as weak education foundation, limited resources and the loss of teachers and son on. As the important resources of school, teachers are assurances of development for private colleges and universities. How to reduce the loss of teachers will be related to the future development of school.On the basis of relative theories and combining with the actual conditions and problems of private high school in Qingdao, the paper discusses influencing factors of the loss of teachers from the aspect of country, school and teacher, and determines relative important degree of influencing factors by the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process. The result shows that:(1) There are some problems about the loss of teachers in private colleges and universities in Qingdao, such as the loss of younger teachers, pluralistic motivation of left teachers and large loss of popular professional teachers.(2) Among the factors influencing the loss of teachers, the influence of school is more important than that of individual.(3) Poor benefits and deficient social security are main reasons influencing loss of teachers at the school level. Low achievement and satisfaction about human development influence teachers’enthusiasm, resulting in the loss of teachers. Lastly, according to the analysis of loss of teachers in private colleges and universities in Qingdao, some measures should be made. First, government should pay attention to private education and increase the support of relevant laws and regulation to protect teachers’rights and increase teachers’occupational status. Second, private colleges should develop and implement effective recruitment policy, improve personnel recruitment system, establish a scientific and reasonable performance evaluation system and social security system and highlight culture development. Third, theteachers should study to improve themselves and develop positive psychological to respondto the pressure, and seek social help to establish harmony interpersonal relationships.
