The Development Of The Graded Word List Of Chinese Textbooks’Words Of Primary And Middle Schools For Overseas Chinese Teaching

This thesis intended to develope a graded word List of Chinese textbooks’words of primaryand middle schools for overseas Chinese Teaching. The study tentatively established aquantitative analysing method, which embracing computer linguistics as well as corpuslinguistics. On the philosophy, we always adhered to the orientation of serviving for Chineseteaching and also adhered to the principles of pragmatic and Scientific. On the process,firstly,Weestablished the corpus of words from Chinese testbooks of primary and secondaryschool.Secondly,we made different hierarchical classifications of words according to the needsof Chinese language teaching.Thirdly,we selectde the words of different hierarchies based oncommonly-used degree and frequency of the words.Then,we calculated the application extent ofthe selectde words and finally sorted the words based on the data.The word table can provide areference for overseas Chinese teaching and domestic Chinese teaching as well.We can see the innovation of this study from the following aspects: At first,we opened awindow for overseas Chinese teaching from the perspective of domestic Chinese teaching inprimary and secondary education.At the Second, on the structure system of the word list, wefirstly determined the level of the word list, and then selected and sorted the words of eachlevel,the more inportant is,we choosed different basis and method of different operations. Thisidea broke the simple operation model of previous word tables,which is selecting words-sortingwords-grading words. At the third, The study tentatively established a series of objective databased on the methods of computer linguistics as well as corpus linguistics,which make the studymore scientific.
