The implementation of the basic education curriculum reform put forward higher requirements for the primary school teachers’ quality. Teachers’ continuing education is an effective method to improve teachers’ knowledge level and the quality of the teachers. It’s also the most important part in today’s construction of teacher team. Therefore, to strengthen teachers’ continuing education is an important task that primary school teachers are facing at present.The paper mainly adopts the literature, questionnaire survey and interview method to study Wu Gang elementary school teachers’ continuing education. First, the paper analyzes the selected topic background of primary school teachers’ continuing education, introduces the related concepts and research significance of the elementary school teachers’ continuing education. Then, the second chapter analyzes the current situation of primary school teachers of Wu Gang. By extracting 15 primary school of Wu Gang as samples, The paper mainly adopts the means of questionnaire and teacher interview, to understand the situation of the elementary school teachers’ continuing education from teachers, sources of funds, participation, curriculum setting and evaluation. On the basis of the investigation, the third chapter summarizes the elementary school teachers’ continuing education problems as follows: viewpoint of continuing education is weak; the curriculum needs to be improved; funds safeguard is not sound, training management is not standard, training teachers’ level is low. The fourth chapter analyzes the influencing factors of Wu Gang elementary school teachers’ continuing education from four aspects: School factors, training factors, teacher factors, policy factors..The fifth chapter,according to the actual situation and problems of Wu Gang elementary school teachers’ continuing education, puts forward countermeasures and suggestions on Wu Gang elementary school teachers’ continuing education situation: update continuing education concept, improve the value of continuing education; optimize training management, improve the training conditions, perfect the assessment; updates continuing education mode, optimize the training content and training mode, make full use of network resources and modern teaching means; ensure continuing education funds investment, increase government financial support, to establish the primary school teacher continuing education fund, expand funding sources, strengthen the construction of training teachers, improve teachers’ educational background, attaches great importance to the cultivation of teachers’ professionalization. Closely connected with the current background, the paper selects Wu Gang to investigate and analyze the primary school teachers’ continuing education comprehensively, puts forward the measures which will promote the development of the local primary school teachers’ continuing education to a certain extent, also to have certain reference significance to other regions.
