Before the reform and opening,due to the constraints of some of the social system, combined with the narrow employment, poor traffic and communication, the phenomenon of individual or the family unit flowing is not common. However, with the implementation of reform and opening and the development of urbanization and modernization, the emergence of large-scale floating population is widespread. The sixth national census results show that in 2010 the total number of migrants across the country has reached 260 million. Flows with a large number of labors from rural areas into urban ones, from inland provinces into coastal provinces are the flowing feature. Jiangxi Province locates in the central region of China, due to geographical deficiencies, there has been a large population outflow recently, in 2014, the number of mobile population of the province was 7.92 million, of which 86.9% was trans-provincial outflow. We can not help asking:(1) with regard to the population inflow, how to offer management service to them?(2) with the outflow of a large number of population, how to attract high qualified labor force, especially talents, which will add vitality to the local economic development?From the perspective of the employment of people flowing to Jiangxi, the employment status of this group and the influential factors of employment is studied in this dissertation. It is important to Jiangxi Provincial Government with regard to the introduction of population inflows service management policies and employment security policies. What’s more, it also provides a reference to attract inflows of labor, especially high-quality personnel.Three innovations are included in this dissertation. Firstly, there are many studies inter-province migration, but few studies on trans-province migration. The study of the characteristics and influential factors of the employment of population flowing to Jiangxi is still in the blank stage, therefore, this study can greatly enrich the research on Jiangxi migrants. Secondly, most studies select individual variables from the microscopic characteristics such as gender, age, education as the factors of employment, the macroeconomic policy variables being rarely involved. in this study, individual characteristics such as gender, age, education, marital status and household registration, macroeconomic policy variables such as whether there exists affordable housing, unemployment insurance, urban affected employee pension insurance, medical insurance for urban workers, industrial injury insurance and maternity insurance and housing fund for employment. Last but not the least, the standard of the employment stability is defined different from other scholars.Research ideas are as follows: First, based on the domestic and foreign research on employment of population inflow, the theoretical basis supporting the article and the framework is founded; secondly, on the basis of 2014 dynamic survey data flow monitoring population of Jiangxi, the employment characteristics of the population flowing to Jiangxi is analyzed by using descriptive statistical methods, and the empirical analysis on influential factors is carried out by using the cross-contingency table test and logistic regression; and finally, based on the analysis, summary about research conclusion and some countermeasures and suggestions to promote the inflow of population service and management level and other aspects of the introduction of talent are proposed to improve the employment situation of population inflow.The analysis of employment characteristics shows that the vast majority of the population flowing to Jiangxi have succeeded in finding jobs, with less stability in employment. Occupational distribution and industry distribution are too concentrated, single, almost engaged in not high tech, alternative strong partial physical type of work. Occupational status, per capital income and the quality of life is not high. Employment benefits is poor. The way of living is to rent private houses, with few proportion of affordable housing. What’s more, the insurance situation is not ideal.The analysis of the influential factors of employment shows that individual characteristics variables and macroeconomic policy variables affect the employment options of population inflow in different degrees. Males are more likely to be employed, the possibility for them in raising employment income is greater. This indicates that there is a certain degree of gender employment discrimination. People not educated well are more likely to engage in physical type of partial secondary industry, but with much fewer chance in pay raise, indicating that a lower level of education hinders their career transition and income. People with social insurance means that their job security awareness is strong, and this is very helpful to their employment. For example, urban workers with the housing fund and pension insurance are more likely to be engaged in mental position, and those with injury insurance are more likely to find a job. All of the above shows that it’s necessary to strengthen the consciousness of social insurance of the population inflow.Finally, to solve the specific issues above, this dissertation proposes to explore diverse service to the inflow population, make propaganda of social security, make the government to actively play its regulatory role in social security, enhance human capital, strengthen skills training, eliminate gender discrimination, improve housing condition and optimize the industrial structure to attract talents.
