Textbooks are the main part of curriculum resource. Teaching activities should analyze textbooks adequately. The new curriculum reform contains new ideas of textbooks. They encourage teachers to develop the textbooks and use the resource reasonably. The textbook design cannot be perfect. It also cannot adapt to all teaching situation. Teachers are worried about how to use textbooks in their teaching. Textbook redevelopment is the key to solve the problem. Teachers are the main part of textbook redevelopment. It is based on the curriculum standards, student demands, teaching environment to adjust textbooks and develop other resource of textbooks. Its purpose is to make full use of textbooks, improve textbooks applicability. It can solve contradictions between textbooks and the real teaching situations.This dissertation applies literature research methods, text analysis methods and survey research methods. Through the analysis and summary of relevant research, confirming concepts and theories.It takes Junior Chinese textbook published by Chinese Publishing House as example and analyses the shortages to point out the necessity of textbook redevelopment. Sum up current situations of textbook redevelopment on questionnaires and interviews. It point out the issues in textbook redevelopment and make suggestions.This dissertation is divided into the following four chapters:Chapter one analyses the connotation of textbook redevelopment and the demands of textbook using proposed by the new curriculum reform.Chapter tow analyses the shortcomings of Junior Chinese textbook published by Chinese Publishing House, it includes text-selecting, illustration, exercises at the end of text, writing. It points out the necessity of textbook redevelopment.Chapter three combines the consequence of questionnaire and interview, it analyses the current situation of textbook redevelopment, summarize the process of textbook redevelopment and the questions of textbook redevelopment.Chapter four puts forward suggestions of textbook redevelopment.
