As notions of education renew constantly, status and function of textbook alter accordingly. Traditional idea of education that teaching solely depends on textbook is gradually replaced by the renewed one that tries to improve implementation of textbook. Meantime, the student-oriented educational idea take the place of teacher-leading pattern in the past. Textbook redevelopment was raised under background of idea changes.Textbook redevelopment is textbook content reframe based on curriculum standard and students’ status, instead of content adjustment. Teacher play a role of researcher in the "redevelopment", developing and utilizing teaching resources to promote teaching level and students’ study creatively. In the process of the "redevelopment", teachers advance their own professionalism. The "redevelopment" also stimulates students’ interest in English learning, and optimizes their learning approach.The dissertation is divided into five parts:The first part introduces background of "textbook redevelopment", domestic and overseas research overview. Besides, this part comprise the main idea and research method of this dissertation.The second part explains theoretical foundations of "textbook redevelopment".The third part illustrates research performance, where problems are discovered, and analyzes cause of problems.The forth part aims to raise strategies and improvement recommendations against problems, in order to pave the way to implementation of textbook redevelopment.The final part concludes the dissertation with post-mortem analysis and provides suggestions and guidance for research in the future. |
