Investigation And Research On Textbook Redevelopment Of English Teachers In Middle Schools

A textbook is the most important curriculum resource for English teaching, but it is not the only one. An English teacher should redevelop the textbook and can't only echo what the book says when he or she uses it, and that can make the textbook more suitable for students' studies and his or her own teaching. That is a meaningful topic, and it is one important part of effective teaching.Questionnaire investigation is mainly used in this dissertation to investigate teachers' ideas, actions, wrong ways, difficulties and helps needed from others about 'Textbook Redevelopment'. The analysis will be made according to the statistic data, and some suggestions will be made for the relevant roles. The dissertation mainly consists of four parts. The first part is introduction and consists of five parts. They are research background, purpose and significance, the main research content and research methods, relative terms, and the structure. The second part includes basic theories and relative researches. The third part includes the third chapter and the fourth chapter and it is the main part of this dissertation. The third chapter describes the process and result of the questionnaire investigation and there are both percent statistics and correlation analysis in this chapter. The fourth chapter is the analysis of the investigation result. The last part is made up of three portions: conclusion, suggestion and reflection. Through reflection some disadvantages of this dissertation will be put forward and the suggestion is also one important part of the dissertation. I would like to make some suggestions for teachers and they may improve teaching practice with them. And I also would like to make some suggestions for relevant departments and they can help teacher improve.
