With the advance of new curriculum reform, the development and utilization of curriculum resources have been raised to an important position. The special nature of high school ideological and political course makes its development and utilization more important. Especially in the rural areas where infrastructure is relatively insufficient, the development and utilization of local curriculum resources become extremely important. Taking bamian Town high school as an example, this paper studies the development and utilization of local resources of rural high school ideological and political course.Through literature research method, the author clarified the broad and narrow definitions of curriculum resources, overviewed the domestic and abroad research results. By looking up relevant materials, the author defined local resources of rural high school ideological and political course, and summarized its features. Through survey study, interview and case study, the author learned the situation of the development and utilization of local curriculum resources of rural high school(bamian Town, Liaoning Province), analyzed the insufficient development and utilization of local curriculum resources, summarized the principles of its development and utilization, proposed according methods, and testified the positive influence of the proper development and utilization of local resources by living examples.Combining theory with practice, the author sets rural high schools as research background, local resources of ideological and political course as research object, and aims at develop more and better local resources for high school ideological and political course as well as make some contribution to the promotion of new curriculum reform.
