The introduction of local resources into high school ideological and political education is an important way to broaden the students’ vision and improve their interest.Suzhou has a long history in 2500, is the birthplace of Wu culture, is also a typical representative of water culture, local resources and has the ability to develop.Local resources, is the production of living environment in a specific region, in the long history of the development of the accumulation of local resources. Local resources are rich in content and diverse forms, which have distinct local characteristics. The local capital of high school ideological and political education is the sum of the local resources in the school where the students attend school(including the towns, counties and cities). The development and utilization of local resources in the teaching of Ideological and political education in senior high school has a very important significance for the development of teachers’ profe- ssional development,the overall development of students, and the impro- vement of the effectiveness of the teaching of Ideological and political education. In the high school ideological and political teaching in the development and utilization of local resources,we must adhere to the comprehensive analysis, to follow the principle of comprehensive utili- zation;to adjust measures to local conditions, to follow the principle of scientific use; to adhere to the students as the basis, to follow the principle of life; to keep pace with the times, follow the principle of social and historical.The author is located in Suzhou D middle school ideological and political education through the multi subject, multi form, multi-channel development and utilization of local resources to explore the practice, and achieved some progress andachievements, but there are some diffi- culties and problems. The problems include:the theoretical level and practical ability of the teachers is not strong, the lack of professional knowledge, the development and utilization of local resources is weak,the way is single; the local school curriculum has been developed and implemented,and the quality is not high. The main reasons are: the huge academic pressure and the excess of information, reduce the students’ attention to the local resources,professional requirements of the tea- cher’s effective development and utilization of local resources, the lack of external support for the development and utilization of local resources, the depth and breadth of utilitarian teaching objectives, the development and utilization of local resources in the form of. Improving ideological and political education development and utilization of local resources, can be from the following several aspects: first, change the teaching idea, pay attention to the educational value of local resources; second, encourage the multi class main body to participate in the devel- opment and utilization of local resources in high school ideological education.
