Children poetry contains rich but pure emotions, concrete but vivid images, which can make the children receive and have a sense of beauty. However, in the current primary Chinese teaching on children poetry, rational supremacy in the classroom knowledge and rigid educational forms make the children poems into the chrestomathy on the understanding of words and sentences, instead of the passion and images.Child-orientation should be the principle in the teaching of children poetry. Emphasizing on chant accords with child-orientation, which can evoke emotional communication between teacher and students,activate students’ poetic thinking to experience and observe emotions and images, enhance students’ language ability and build students spiritual world. According to the ecology of the development of childhood life, flexible measures should be taken on the teaching of children poetry so that students can receive and enjoy the chant.The proportion of the children poetry in the Chinese textbook for elementary school has been improved dramatically. Most of the articles on the teaching of children poetry stress on the study of teaching skills, theoretical research or experience summarization. With the basic point of the idea of child-orientation, this dissertation expounds the combination of teaching principle, chant guidance and teaching modes on children poetry, by probing into the aesthetic creation and the acceptance of poems.
