Promoted by the tide of new curriculum reform, the contraction between the teaching mode and the need of times prompts the transition of teaching contents and teaching mode, and the Effective Teaching becomes the targets of the modern teacher’’ teaching. The Ordinary High school History Curriculum Standard(Experiment), based on the basic idea of curriculum which aims to cultivate the historical consciousness, cultural qualities and humanism accomplishments of modern citizens, has provided the macro specification for the new century high school history teaching and also fully embodied the spirit of quality-oriented education. On the basis of extending students’ historic knowledge, the direction of the history teaching based on the idea of new curriculum fully develops students’ subjectivity and focuses on cultivating students’ historic thinking and analysis ability. It also emphasizes on comprehensive quality, consisting of history learning methods, the interests in history and humanism accomplishment.Promoted by the quality-oriented education situation, there’s an important practical significance to optimize the teachers’ way of teaching and change students’ way of learning. History is a traditional subject in high school study, and the past teaching way which is a low efficient, inflexible model: Teachers Teach, Students Recite. This model is lack of initiative and creativity, and it ignores students’ process of thinking, and it also can’t reflect the character of the quality-oriented education or make the effective teaching in history class come true.As a high efficient human resource evaluation technology, the Leaderless Group Discussion is now widely used by people. Functioned with the assessment and diagnosis, the Leaderless Group Discussion can be used both as the evaluation tool of talents section and diagnostic tool of talents training. Being used as a teaching method, it can preferably make teachers’ leading role work and mobilize students’ subjectivity to implement students’ consciousness of independent study and promote class attraction. It has a positive effect to apply the Leaderless Group Discussion to high school history teaching and stimulates the improvement of high school history teaching mode and the implement of effective teaching. This paper comprehensively study and analyze the principle, method and value of the implantation of Leaderless Group Discussion in senior high school history teaching, according to the analysis of Leaderless Group Discussion and combination of the specific circumstance in high school history teaching and the writer’s actual teaching practice and experience. The whole paper aims to form a new and applicable teaching method and be positively effective for front-line teachers in high school through the integration of theory and practice.
