Junior high is an important phase in forming outlooks on world and life, and values, also important in cultivating the sense for politics and morality. Moral practice is a vital part in forming good morality. Therefore, strengthening and improving the moral practice of junior high students is of great importance to guarantee that they grow up in a healthy way.Guided by Marxist viewpoints of practice, “The Cognitive Moral Development Mode”of Lawrence Kohlberg,Tao Xingzhi’s Living Education theory, this thesis discusses the connotation of moral practice and its related theories, and puts forward the necessity to carry out moral practice for junior high students. this thesis adopts questionnaires and interviews to combine the actual situation of local junior high schools in Chongqing. In addition, a large amount of literature is reviewed and analyzed. All the efforts above lead to a relatively objective and comprehensive research which helps to point out the present problems in the moral practice of the Junior High Students in 5 Chongqing middle schools. Then points out problems such as a lack of respect for the students,tending to formalism and Provide enough, lack of continuity and long-term, that the junior high students lack self-discipline and motivation etc.To cure the above problems, this thesis with deep analysis from the perspectives of society, schools, family and the students themselves,combining with how moral practice is conducted in foreign schools and what we can learn from them, this thesis has offered ways on how to improve the moral practice of the junior high students: Firstly, we should lay great importance on moral education by putting moral practice as the core part of the moral education; Secondly, to lay a solid foundation by strengthening the moral education at home; Lastly, to pay attention to the interior moral qualities of junior high students, thus improving the moral quality.“Stones from other hills may serve to polish the jade of this one.” This thesis combines what I have learned in my major with the research results, by furthermore adopting pedagogy, psychology and the principles of moral education etc. so as to have a comprehensive overview on the causes and countermeasures for moral practice of junior high students.
