In 2013, China’s permanent population urbanization rate has reached 53.7%. Urbanization is a process in which the way of human production and living changes from urban type to rural type, consisting of population migration, land expansion and economic growth. As well as life style, land use and economic structure have profound changes. Throughout the development of urbanization in our country, lots of problems and contradiction are associated with coordinated development of urbanization in perspective of population, land and economy. Only when these three factors develop to a comprehensive high level, the coordinating relationship can truly be ideal to achieve success of high quality, balanced and coordinated urbanization development, In consequence, research on coordinated development of urbanization in perspective of population, land and economy has important significance to promote the urbanization strategy healthily and stably.Urban agglomeration is the main platform and carrier during the new type of urbanization development. The paper chooses the three main urban agglomerations in Yangtze River Economic Zone (96 cities) to do the coordinating research in perspective of population, land and economy. Using principal component analysis, urbanization index system is set up to measure and compare the quality level. With the aid of the coordinated development function, coordinated relationship among these three factors is discussed and quantized. By grey correlation analysis, the main factors that lead to the disorder are found so as to give the government some policy suggestions.
