History is a basic discipline, which has close connections with other disciplines. The Historical Geography is the study of changes in human geography, and human with environment, and the relationship between environmental and human society development and its evolution in science in a certain historical period. It is characterized by cross-cutting and comprehensive. Penetration historical geography knowledge for teaching history in high school students is a better understanding of the historical background of the outbreak, the causes and effects of great significance. And this characteristic can enhance the ability of students to interdisciplinary and comprehensive analysis capabilities to a certain extent. This enables students to adapt to inquiry learning environment under the new curriculum standards, complete better learning tasks. So, I chose to use the history of geographical knowledge in high school teaching as research.This paper discusses the following aspects of the historical geography knowledge in teaching history. First, the introduction, explained the reason of the topic, the status quo of the research, the purpose and significance of research and research methods. Second,the overview of the historical geography knowledge, mainly to explain the concept of historical geography knowledge, content, scope, and the significance of historical geography knowledge in teaching high school history. Third, the high school history textbooks common historical geography knowledge, closely linked materials, the content of the textbooks were systematically discussed from physical geography and human geography knowledge of science content knowledge are two aspects. Fourth, what historical geography knowledge is applied to teaching should pay attention to. This part of historical geography knowledge of literacy teachers, teachers in the teaching of the history of geography knowledge to pay attention to timely, appropriate to discuss the teaching of history and geography teachers in the use of various methods and other aspects of knowledge.
