In Twenty-first Century the importance of English is self-evident, our government have paid much attention to the reform of English curriculum. In the constant process of improvement The New English Curriculum Reform, can be effectively implemented. In order to make The New English Curriculum Reform better adapt to the high school English teaching, the majority of experts, scholars and teachers are working positively. In order to promote students’ knowledge, emotion, attitude and value and integrated humanities accomplishment, The New English Curriculum Reform advocates the Task Based English Teaching, by this way students’ comprehensive language application ability can be better cultivated.Nowadays, Task Based English Teaching has become a hot research topic in the field of foreign language teaching in China. The Task Based English Teaching has experienced three stages, that is, Theoretical exploration —action research—practical Reflection. Task based language teaching as a new exotic things, gradually obtained teacher’ recognition, but there are still some problems in the foreign language teaching in China, especially in rural high school English field. In Task Based English Teaching localization process, what changes have Task Based English Teaching brought to the high school English Teaching? What are the teachers’ and students’ attitudes towards Task Based English Teaching? What are the problems of the Task Based English Teaching in rural high school in China? To avoid weaknesses, this dissertation puts forward the effective measures, which is the original intention of this article.This dissertation can be divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction, that emphasizes on describes the origin of this research, significance, train of thought, objective, significance and research methods.The second part introduces the connotation of high school English task based teaching, including the definition of core concepts, the research status at home and abroad.The third part introduces the theoretical basis of Task-based English teaching, including linguistic theory and constructivism theory.The fourth part discusses the investigation of high school English task based teaching, including the questionnaire design, survey implementation, analysis the data of survey.The fifth part discusses the existing problems of high school English task based teaching from teachers, students, curriculum, and environment aspects.The sixth part discusses how to solve problems in high school English task based teaching and puts forward effective countermeasures, i.e. 1.School administrators should have the consciousness of new curriculum reform, should establish a good management mechanism; 2. Various kinds of training should be effective; 3. Task based English Teaching of senior high school English teachers should improve self ability; 4. Students should be proactive; 5. The evaluation of task based English teaching should be flexible; 6. Teachers and students should create interactive cooperative atmosphere; 7.
