The“Action-oriented”idea originated in Germany and has contributed a lot to its development of vocational education.It has been nearly 20 years since Chinese scholars studied this idea.Recently,with the vigorous promotion of vocational education in our country,we are also seeking for advanced advanced guiding philosophy and advanced teaching methods.On the other hand,new demands of the era and new needs of the social call for new teaching objectives in Chinese modern vocational education,namely to help students obtain and improve their ability to act.The ability to act consists of both professional ability and abilities on projects.The action-oriented teaching focus on developing these two abilities of students.This paper attempts to explore the practice of the “action-oriented” teaching methods in the secondary vocational e-commerce major, and the inspirations it brings to Chinese vocational education.We have collected lots of literature on the “action-oriented”idea. We first analyze the bas ic concepts of the “action-oriented”teaching methods in German vocational education, clar ify some misunderstanding of this concept in Chinese academia, and overview its characteri stics and theoretical foundations in history at a high level. Then we introduce several basic “a ction-oriented”teaching methods in German vocational education and elaborate, for each me thod, its implication, process model, and operational precautions. Finally, we apply the “action-oriented” teaching methods to the e-commerce major in secondary vocational schools. We explore this practice in great depth, aiming to find several more suitable teaching meth ods for the e-commerce major in secondary vocational education and to cultivate the much-ne eded people who are qualified in e-commerce.
