More and more social concern paid to cleft lip and palate the special group, especially Smile Angle Foundation, the Smile Train Foundation and other charitable organizations provide financial assistance to patients with cleft lip and palate, in collaboration with hospitals to provide patients free of charge surgical treatment services to help the patients early recover, reduce the financial burden on their families. Professional foundation’s involvement is to provide economic and material assistance, but cleft lip and palate patients psychological stress and family members psychological trauma, social and public demand was ignored. This article will focus on the psychosocial needs families members of patients may have, through investigate the basic situation of the families, for families members’ psychological crux, life challenges, design professional services program, expectation for the patient’s family to provide psycho-social support relieve pressure on the families of cleft lip and palate for purposes.This paper is based on the social work profession of group work method, case work, supplemented prior to the event, along with the nurse, we entered the ward and we invite them to participate in group activities, to accept a social worker as soon as possible. We can understand their inner distress, prepare timely comfort, group activities. At the event in good faith for the crew, and lead team members to open up to talk and share the pain and joy together.Through group activities, provide psycho-social support for family members, to increase peer support, to create a relaxing, caring therapeutic environment, helping to release the psychological pressure on their parents, and guide familly members scientificly accepted and explored the advantages their children. Meanwhile, with the help of hospital staff can provide medical care skills for patients’ parents.While the social workers using the strengs perspective to help parents find the patient’s own merits and advantages, so that their patients mental healthy growth.
