Primary education is the foundation stage of students’ learning career. And the literacy teaching is the basis of this stage. As an important part of Chinese education, Chinese characters not only take up the role of communication, but also undertake the task of national culture heritage. The main content of this thesis is how to make the students fully grasp the Chinese characters’ pronunciation, meaning and shape, have a clear understanding of the relationship between the three.According to its own rules and characteristics of Chinese characters, master the scientific method of Chinese characters learning, lay a solid foundation for reading and writing skills of a higher level.And in the learning process, through learning Chinese characters, make the student deeply understand the Chinese culture.This article discusse cultural heritage in primary school literacy teaching from the following three parts.The first part is an overview of the status of elementary literacy teaching. Comprehensive analysing the current status of elementary literacy teaching, noting problems appeared in primary literacy teaching. After the issues raised, through the analysis of "Compulsory Education curriculum standards," literacy teaching’s position in primary education and characters themselves carrying cultural connotations to determine the teaching objectives of primary school literacy teaching and pupil’s cognitive characteristics, clarifying the inseparable link between primary characters teaching and Chinese cultural heritage.The second part is an overview of the relationship between the characters and culture. First completely introducting Chinese characters’ concept, nature and characteristics, evolution and Character Is; Then discriminating the closely relationship between characters and cultural heritage, finally describing Han nationality unique mode of thinking that Chinese characters present in the past thousands of years.The third part is the cultural heritage in literacy teaching. Literacy teaching in primary schools should establish a Chinese character teaching system, according to their own characteristics of characters, refering to "Six said," teaching chinese character as the pictograph character, associative character, indicative character and pictophmetic characters system.Starting from actual teaching cases, compared to traditional teaching activities I give some advice and reference for teaching literacy for implementing teaching methods diversification. With the characteristics of Chinese characters themselves and cultural heritage as the core, through a variety of methods analysis, observation, physical method, etc., and with a variety of media in the teaching process, rich the class.This paper aims that, through completely analysis, providing new ideas and new methods for primary school Chinese characters teaching.While enhancing my own practical ability, I try to provide some advise and reference for teachers who working in the front line.
