With great amount and long-exsitance, the left behind children, who were the weakness of the development of Chinese education, were the by-product of the transfer of rural surplus labor force and the Chinese society. Because of education was the carrier of human cilvilization and inheritance, the education problem of the left-behind children was related not only to the healthy grown-up of next generation, but also to the steadily development of communities and countries.Family education, which was the most significant part of the development of individuals, was indispensible. In this case, the study of the family education problem of left-behind children had theoretical value as well as great immediate significance.By used the documentary method, interviewing method and narrative research, the study of left-behind children in Guangnan village has been carried out. The result has reflected the situation of those children systematically and drawed public attention. Since the left-behind children was complicated, so that the sample was classified. It has two different standards. One was divided by the children’s guardian, like solo-parent guardian, relatives guardian. Another was divided by the age of left-behind children, like before, within and after school age. It was attempted to reveal the situation as a whole of the family education in Guangnan village.By comparing the left-behind and non-left-behind children and seeking the charaterisitcs of left-behind children, the problem of their family education has been found. Based on the problems, several suggestions has been pointed out. It was hoped that the suggestions could improve the development of Chinese rural education.
