Studies On Discipline Development In The Agriculture And Forestry University

The discipline development is an important symbol to measure a college’s development, combing the history of discipline development in higher teaching institutions, analyze and summary a basic rule of the discipline development will helpful to provide a meaningful reference and inspiration for the discipline development in our country.This study in the Northwest A&F University as an example, carded and sketched out the evolution process of this university through the literature research and analysis, then interpretation in stages the whole evolution process, divided discipline development into eight periods, including start-ups based period, construction period, the upheaval of the cultural revolution, rectify recovery period, reform and development period, construction period and comprehensive development period, described each stage of the discipline development, put forward countermeasures.This study according to the ministry of education evaluation index system of disciplines in 2012, summarized the effect of the discipline development from the level of teaching staff and resources, scientific research and talent training quality and academic reputation, analyzed regulation and tendency of discipline development, including in agriculture discipline as a starting point, has a distinct agronomy characteristic, from a single discipline to a multidisciplinary development, disciplinary layout gradually perfect, discipline differentiation and comprehensive become a driving force for the discipline development, discipline status is increasing day by day, according to the localization development disciplines, growing concern for humanities and social science.This study analyzed external opportunities, external threats, internal advantage and internal disadvantage through SWOT analysis method, put forward the overall train of thought of discipline development, to make a strategic choice, including use the external opportunities, to play the internal advantage, reasonable transformation of external threats, effectively reduce the internal advantage.
