Cultivation of students’ practical ability is the inevitable demand of individual all-round development, it is also the important goal of school education which has been put forward by the new curriculum reform. The cultivation of students’ practical ability is gradually to the attention of the education departments and schools of all types and all levels. The practical courses which set up by education sector has been paid more attention and concern by many schools and teachers. However, with the influence of the traditional knowledge view, teaching view and existing talent selection system, the practical curriculum can be evaded, the cultivation of students’ practical ability has encountered many difficulties and obstacles in the reality.Around the core problem as the "the cultivation of junior middle school students’ practical ability", the paper discusses the general structure of junior middle school students’ practical ability, analyzes the current situation of students’ practical ability training and existing problems.Base on this discussion,the paper further investigate the training countermeasures of junior middle school students’practical ability.The dissertation comprises six parts:The first part is about introduction, which includes the selection of the study topic, the research purpose and meaning of this study, the definition of the core concept, the existing related research as well as the pointcut of this study, and the research approach and methods of this study.The second part is the significance of the junior middle school students’ practice ability. Through analyzes the relevant research on practical skills with philosophy, psychology and pedagogy, tentatively defines the connotation of the junior middle school students’ practical ability, summarizes the characteristics of the junior middle school students’practical ability, and then explore the value of junior middle school students’ practical ability training from several aspects, such as learning interest, learning motivation, personal qualities and innovation ability.The third part is the components of junior middle school students’ practical ability. According to the characters of the junior middle school students, combining with the feature of junior middle school education, the paper is analyzed the components of junior middle school students’ practical ability that included the common ability factor, the special ability factor and the context ability factor. The common ability factors includes body movement, knowledge construction, information collection and processing, interpersonal skills and self-discipline. The special ability factor includes basic tools use ability, special tool use skills and the ability to use information technology tools. The context ability factors includes analysis ability, planning and executive ability. Base on that, the thesis is teased out the logical relation of the common ability factor, the special ability factor and the context ability factor.The fourth part is the status and problems of students’practical ability developing in junior middle school. Through the questionnaire survey and interviews, dissecting the basic situation with students’ practical ability under the existing condition of junior middle school education, and analyzing main problems in the process of the students’ practical ability training by the junior middle school education.The fifth part is the countermeasures and suggestions of developing junior middle school students’ practical ability. According to the problems of students’ practical ability training in junior middle school education, combining with the reality and the related theory, discussing the main countermeasures and methods to promote the students’ practical ability. Through various channels and overall planning, truly putting the junior middle school students’ practical ability into place, promoting the effective formation and development of junior middle school students’ practical ability.The sixth part is epilogue, which mainly reflects the existing deficiency and in this research and further study required..
